A paved riverside path follows the Prut through the centre of Yaremche, from the rail bridge in the north down past the craft market to Probiy Waterfall. The walk is about 2 kilometres in total, well shaded, and lined with benches, ice-cream kiosks, and wooden suspension bridges that cross to the far bank. It is the heart of the town on summer evenings, when families come out after dinner.
The river itself is clear, fast, and cold even in August. Locals swim in the deeper pools below the falls. There are several signposted points where you can scramble down to flat slabs of rock at the water's edge.
