Lancashire Infantry Museum

The regimental museum of the Loyal North Lancashire and successor regiments occupies a wing of Fulwood Barracks, a few minutes' drive north of the city centre. The collection covers Lancashire infantry service from the seventeenth century to the present — uniforms, weapons, medals, and a particularly good display on the Boer War and the two world wars.

Open Tuesday and Thursday mornings; check the website before visiting, as access is via a working military site. Free entry but advance booking is encouraged.
