Abbots Pool Local Nature Reserve

Abbots Pool is a wooded nature reserve south-west of Bristol, centred on a large pool once used by medieval monks for fish farming. Mature oak and beech trees surround the water, and the paths are good for a quiet walk with birdlife and woodland views.

It is a modest stop, but worthwhile if you want a low-key nature break near Leigh Woods, Clifton, or Tyntesfield.
