Blaise Castle Estate is a broad north Bristol parkland with woodland, a gorge, a folly castle and a small museum in the old house. It gives Bristol a green historic outing that feels different from the harbour and city-centre museums.
Families come for the playgrounds and open space, while walkers can follow paths through the wooded estate toward the castle folly. It is far enough from the centre to need a planned trip, but substantial enough to justify one.
