A large Victorian mansion in Keighley, about 13 kilometres north of Bradford, Cliffe Castle was built by a wealthy wool magnate and is now a free municipal museum set in pleasant parkland. The collection ranges from local geology and natural history to decorative arts and a notable collection of stuffed birds and animals. The house itself — turrets, grand reception rooms, a conservatory — is as much of an attraction as the exhibits. Good for families.
