Pabellón Cuba

Pabellón Cuba is a large event and exhibition space in Vedado, built in the 1960s as a showcase for Cuban arts and industry. The complex — open on all sides, modernist and functional — hosts trade fairs, concerts, and cultural events throughout the year. The architecture, particularly the tower and the circular auditorium, is a good example of the optimistic early-revolutionary aesthetic.

The grounds are open during events and worth walking through on a hot afternoon for the shade of the pavilion roofs. The complex is a short walk from Vedado and an easy detour on the way to or from the Miramar embassies.
