Cumbres of Monterrey National Park protects rugged mountain terrain around the Monterrey area, including cliffs, canyons, rivers, caves, and trailheads reached from several sides of the city. It is one of the main reasons to leave the urban core if you want hiking, scenery, and a closer look at the Sierra Madre Oriental.
