Puente Atirantado

Monterrey's cable-stayed bridge landmark on the Santa Catarina River corridor

Puente Atirantado, officially Puente de la Unidad, is one of Monterrey's most recognizable modern landmarks. Its white pylons and cables span the Santa Catarina River corridor, linking the city with San Pedro Garza García and framing mountain views beyond the traffic.

You do not need to make a special pilgrimage just for the bridge, but it is worth noticing on the west side of the city. It photographs best from nearby river and road viewpoints, especially when the Cerro de la Silla or the Sierra Madre is clear behind it.
