Faro Comercial is the bright orange obelisk at the southern end of Monterrey's Macroplaza. It was built as a monument to the city's commercial energy, which is a very Monterrey thing to commemorate.
By day it is a useful landmark between the cathedral, MARCO, and the plaza gardens. At night, laser beams from the top make it more theatrical than the average civic monument.
