A waterfall in the hills outside Boaco, reached by a short hike through cattle country. The falls are modest — this is not the kind of spectacle that draws tour groups — but the walk is pleasant and the setting is cool and shaded. It is popular with local families on weekends, who come to swim in the pool at the base.
Getting there requires either a taxi out of town followed by a walk, or asking locally for the current route — the track is not always clearly signed. Allow half a day for the round trip.
