Galerías Santo Domingo is Managua's most upscale shopping mall, located at the south end of the Carretera Masaya corridor near the exclusive Las Colinas district. It houses international fashion brands, a large supermarket, a cinema, and the best concentration of high-end restaurants in the city — it is where the Managuan upper middle class shops and eats.
For travellers, it is practically useful as the southern anchor of the Carretera Masaya strip: there are reliable ATMs, a well-stocked supermarket for stocking up before departing Nicaragua, and food options ranging from chain restaurants to better local ones. The food court has a useful variety. The mall itself is unexceptional by international standards but functions well and is air-conditioned, which is not a trivial consideration in Managua.
