Metrocentro Mall

Metrocentro is Managua's original large shopping mall, developed by the Salvadoran Grupo Roble in the late 1990s and still one of the main commercial centres in the city. It occupies a key junction on the way from the old centre toward the Carretera Masaya and has multiple floors of chain stores, a large supermarket, restaurants, a food court, and a cinema.

It functions as more than a mall — it is a social centre, particularly for younger Managuans, and the outdoor plazas around it are busy on weekend afternoons. For travellers it is useful for ATMs, supermarket supplies, and air-conditioned eating if the heat has become overwhelming. The presence of international restaurant chains alongside local options means there is something for every mood. Adjacent development includes several bank branches and the city's best concentration of ATMs.
