A small but walkable shopping and dining district at the south end of town, near the border with Torrance. The streets — Avenue I, Catalina Avenue, Esplanade — are lined with boutiques, surf shops, salons, cafés and small restaurants, mostly independent rather than chain operations. The architecture is low-rise, the streets are wide and palm-shaded, and outdoor tables spill from most of the restaurants.
The village hosts seasonal events: a Sunday farmers market through the warm months, a small Christmas tree-lighting in early December, sidewalk sales in spring and autumn. It is the closest thing Redondo has to a town centre and the easiest place to spend an afternoon browsing on foot.
