A grassy bluff just south of the Redondo Beach Pier with picnic tables, a small playground and uninterrupted ocean views. The park is the venue for the city's free summer concert series, held on Sunday evenings from June through August, when a temporary stage is set up against the ocean backdrop and several thousand locals turn up with folding chairs and picnic blankets.
The park is also the start of the cliff-top Esplanade walk that runs north along the bluffs above the beach. A war memorial stands in the centre. The lawn slopes down to a small pavilion at the bottom; from the top deck you can see the entire arc of King Harbor on one side and the Palos Verdes peninsula on the other.
