Fort Boonesborough is a reconstructed frontier fort on the Kentucky River, near the route of the old Wilderness Road. Costumed interpreters, cabins, and craft demonstrations make it a strong stop for understanding early Kentucky settlement and Daniel Boone's place in the story.
