Fenner Nature Center

Woodland trails and a small visitor centre on Lansing’s southeast side.

Fenner Nature Center gives Lansing a quiet, close-to-town nature stop with woodland, prairie, and wetland trails spread across the southeast side of the city. It is not wilderness, but it is a good place to reset between capitol buildings, museums, and college-town errands.

The visitor centre and short trail loops make it especially practical with children or limited time. Spring wildflowers, autumn colour, and snowy winter walks are the best moments; after heavy rain, expect some muddy patches on the lower paths.
