A working steam-powered clock on the Grand River walkway just north of downtown, modeled on the famous Gastown clock in Vancouver. The clock chimes the Westminster quarters on its steam whistles every fifteen minutes, with extra hisses and plumes on the hour.
Donated to the city by the Lansing Rotary Club in 2005 and engineered locally. It is a small thing — five minutes to stand and watch — but quietly delightful and a useful landmark on the riverwalk between Brenke Fish Ladder and the Lansing City Market.
