Castalia Quarry Reserve is an abandoned limestone quarry west of Sandusky, now managed as a quiet outdoor area with woods, fields, exposed rock, and trails for walking or mountain biking.
It is a small, low-key stop rather than a headline attraction, but it works well for visitors with a car who want a short hike and a look at a different side of the Lake Erie region.
