Maritime Museum of Sandusky

A small but focused museum on the Sandusky waterfront, covering the city's history as a Lake Erie shipping and shipbuilding port. Exhibits include scale models of Great Lakes freighters, recovered artefacts from shipwrecks in the surrounding waters, and a section on the Underground Railroad — Sandusky was a major destination for escaped slaves crossing into Canada via the lake.

Easy hour-long visit. Combined ticket sometimes available with the Merry-Go-Round Museum up the street.
