Riverside Walk is the gentle prelude to The Narrows, a paved trail from the Temple of Sinawava along the Virgin River. The canyon is already closing in here, with water, cottonwoods, hanging gardens, and cliff walls that keep the light cool even on hot days.
This is one of Zion's best low-effort walks. It works for families, nervous hikers, and anyone who wants the feel of the canyon without committing to river wading. Expect crowds, especially around shuttle arrival times.
