Timber Creek Overlook is the quick reward at the end of the Kolob Canyons Road, a short ridge walk that gives you a fine look at Zion's less visited northwestern corner. The trail is easy by Zion standards, with modest elevation gain and open views across finger canyons, desert ridges, and, on clear days, a long sweep toward the Pine Valley Mountains.
It works especially well at the start or end of a Kolob Canyons visit. The exposure means there is little shade, but the distance is forgiving, and the payoff is immediate. If you want a low-commitment hike away from the main canyon crowds, this is one of the park's simplest choices.
