Hurricane Ridge is the park's great mountain balcony. On clear days the Olympic peaks rise in a jagged wall to the south, while the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island sit to the north.
Short trails make it accessible even if you are not a serious hiker. Come early in summer for parking and visibility; clouds can erase the view with impressive speed.
