The National Assembly of Cambodia meets in a long, low concrete building on the southern stretch of Sothearos Boulevard, designed in 1957 in the high Sangkum modernist style. The chamber itself is closed to casual visitors, but the riverside park beside it gives a clear view of the façade.
It is most striking at night, when the floodlit colonnade and the flag-bearing terrace catch the lights of the Tonle Sap. Worth a slow pass on any walk along Diamond Island.
