The 188-metre Vattanac Capital Tower, finished in 2014, is still the most architecturally distinctive of Phnom Penh's modern skyscrapers — a curving glass form that, viewed from the right angle, suggests a stylised dragon rising from the city. Designed by London-based TFP Farrells, it houses offices, a luxury hotel, and a rooftop sky bar on the 38th floor.
The Sora Sky Bar is the easiest way to get inside the building. Drinks are expensive (US$10 and up) but the 360-degree view across the city, the Mekong, and the surrounding plains is unmatched. Come at sunset and dress smart.
