The Fujian-Taiwan Kinship Museum is one of Quanzhou's bigger thematic museums, focused on the cultural, family, linguistic, and migration links across the Taiwan Strait. Its subject is not abstract here: Quanzhou and the wider Minnan region shaped communities across Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
The museum sits near West Lake and works well with Quanzhou Museum or Qingyuan Mountain if you are already in this part of the city. It is most rewarding if you have some interest in Minnan culture, genealogy, temple networks, or the way migration made Quanzhou influential far beyond Fujian.
