Yuanxuan Taoist Temple is a large Taoist complex in northern Guangzhou, with three main halls dedicated to Taoist deities. Sanqing Hall is the architectural centrepiece, with yellow glazed roof tiles, bright painted figures, and carvings of divine beings.
It is a longer trip from central Guangzhou than the old-city temples, but it gives a useful look at contemporary Taoist devotional architecture on a much larger scale.
