The Memorial Hall, in the city centre on Sunwen West Road, is the more formal counterpart to Cuiheng — a large ceremonial building modelled loosely on traditional palace architecture, with sweeping eaves and red columns. Inside, exhibition halls display photographs, documents, and personal effects relating to Sun's life and his political work.
The hall is set in a park with statuary, gardens, and a pleasant lake; it is one of the better green spaces in the centre of Zhongshan and a popular spot for locals to walk and exercise in the morning. Combine a visit with the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library next door.
