People's Park is one of central Nanning's easiest green escapes, with lake paths, mature trees, exercise corners, and small gardens woven into the city fabric. The hill inside the park holds Zhenning Fort, a reminder of the older defensive landscape that predated the modern city around it.
Come for a walk rather than a checklist attraction. The park is most interesting early or late in the day, when locals are out for tai chi, music, and family strolls, giving visitors a low-key view of everyday Nanning.
