Yiling Rock is a karst cave attraction north of Nanning, set in the limestone country that gives Guangxi much of its drama. Inside are illuminated chambers, stalactites, and the cool underground atmosphere that makes cave visits especially welcome in the region's heat.
The site is presented for visitors, with cultural displays and a managed route rather than wild caving. It still makes a worthwhile excursion from Nanning, especially if your trip does not continue deeper into Guangxi's more famous karst landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.
