A small former fishing village on the south coast, 40 minutes from Central on the 6, 6X, or 260 bus along one of the territory's most scenic routes. Stanley Market sells silks, linen, souvenirs, and some genuine Chinese antiques; the waterfront promenade has decent seafood restaurants, a line of open-air bars, and the transplanted Murray House — a mid-19th-century colonial building moved stone by stone from Central. Stanley Main Beach is clean and swimmable in summer. Easy to combine with Repulse Bay on the way back.
