Ocean Park is part theme park, part marine attraction, sprawling across two levels of headland above the South China Sea south of Aberdeen. The upper section has thrill rides including the roller coaster Hair Raiser; the lower section has the Giant Panda Adventure (home to several giant pandas), a large aquarium, and a recreated 1970s Hong Kong street scene. A cable car connects the two levels and is half the fun — good views on the way across.
Best suited to families with children or anyone who wants a full day of varied activity. Tickets are expensive but the park is genuinely large enough to fill a day. Get there early. Take the MTR to Ocean Park station (Island Line); it's a short walk from the exit.
