Jodhpur's sights cluster on and around the great Mehrangarh Fort, with the blue old city spilling down its cliff and royal palaces and cenotaphs nearby. Two solid days will cover the headline acts; add a third for the backstreets and the stepwells. Most of the best things here are within walking distance of one another, though the heat between April and June makes a tuk-tuk between them a kindness.
