Ashtalakshmi Temple is a seaside Hindu temple in Besant Nagar dedicated to Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu. Its name refers to the eight forms of Lakshmi worshipped here.
The temple is a useful stop on a southern Chennai route that also takes in the beach and the older religious sights of Mylapore.
