Jafarganj Cemetery is the burial ground of Mir Jafar's family and later Nawabs Nazim of Bengal. It lies about half a mile from Hazarduari Palace and contains around 1,100 graves within a walled compound.
The names here belong to the turbulent years after the Battle of Plassey, when Murshidabad's power was shrinking and British influence was growing. It is a quiet, historically loaded stop that pairs well with Hazarduari Palace, Nizamat Imambara, and Katra Masjid.
