Kathgola Palace

Kathgola Palace was built in 1873 for the Dugar family and later renovated with both French and Bengali architectural input. The palace now works as a museum, with chandeliers, mirrors, furniture, and other artefacts from the estate.

The wider complex adds to the visit: there are spacious gardens, a Jain temple, a small zoo, and sculpture on the grounds. It is one of the stronger heritage stops around Murshidabad.
