Tripolia Gate is a triple-arched gateway built under Nawab Shuja Uddin Khan, who succeeded Murshid Quli Khan in the early 18th century. The arches are high enough for elephants to pass through, and the structure is topped by a small nahabatkhana for musicians.
It is a brief stop, but a worthwhile one on a Murshidabad history route that also takes in Hazarduari Palace, Katra Masjid, and the riverside tombs.
