Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramic

The Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramic is one of Kota Tua's main museums, close to Taman Fatahillah and the Jakarta History Museum. Its collection covers Indonesian painting, sculpture, and ceramics, including work by major Indonesian artists and pieces that draw on Hindu temple imagery.

It is a good second stop in the old city after the history museum. The building and collection together add a softer art-focused layer to a district that can otherwise feel dominated by colonial history and busy square life.
