The Asian outpost of the Legoland chain opened in 2017 on reclaimed land near Nagoya Port, the second in Asia after Malaysia. The park is firmly pitched at children aged 2 to 12 — gentler rides than a typical theme park, with an aquarium, a Lego Discovery centre, and a Miniland zone that recreates Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Nagoya in around 11 million bricks.
The same complex also contains a Lego-themed hotel and the independent Maker's Pier shopping promenade. For adults travelling without children, it has limited appeal; for families it is the cleanest, most reliable day out in central Nagoya. The Aonami Line from Nagoya Station drops you at Kinjofuto Station, a 10-minute walk away.
