Matsuyama Central Park, also known as Matsuyama Sogo Koen, sits on a hill west of the city centre. Its mock European fortress walls are a little odd, but the height gives broad views over Matsuyama, the castle hill, and the Seto Inland Sea.
It is a good local stop if you want a view without joining the main castle crowds. Families also come for the playgrounds and open space.
