Zoobic Safari is the headline animal attraction of the Subic Bay freeport — a 25-hectare wildlife park with a tiger safari, an aviary, a serpentarium, and an Aeta tribal village within the grounds. The tiger drive-through is the main draw: visitors board a caged jeepney that crawls through an enclosure where Bengal tigers prowl and feed.
The rest of the park is more conventional zoo-meets-petting-zoo: ostriches and emus you can feed, a crocodile pit with a feeding show, and a tour of an Aeta jungle camp where guides demonstrate fire-starting and traditional plant uses. Allow half a day. It is around 8 kilometres from the freeport main gate.
