A surprisingly worthwhile stop. The Historical and Army Museum covers five thousand years of military history in the region with weapons, armour, uniforms and carefully composed dioramas. Unlike most history museums, it does not stop at the 19th century, with the most vivid sections covering the modern era. Maps and displays trace developments from the Battle of Qadesh onwards.
