St Anne's Church is a small Greek Orthodox basilica from the 6th or 7th century, making it one of Trabzon's oldest surviving buildings. It fell out of use after the Greek population was forced out, and many frescoes were painted over.
The church was restored in 2021 and 2022. It is modest in scale, but its age and layered history make it worth seeking out while exploring central Trabzon.
