Cua Can River shows a calmer side of Phu Quoc than the resort strips. Fishing boats, mangrove edges, bridges and slow water give the northwestern part of the island a working landscape, with the national park hills not far away.
It is best folded into a scooter or car loop through northern Phu Quoc, especially if you are already heading toward Ong Lang, Ganh Dau or the forest roads. Do not expect a formal attraction; the value is the change of pace and the glimpse of island life beyond the beach economy.
