The largest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc, built in 2012 on a hillside overlooking the sea on the east coast. The complex is built entirely of lim wood and features multiple pavilions, a large Buddha statue at the top of the hill, and well-maintained terraced gardens with ocean views. The style is traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architecture on an ambitious scale.
The hilltop location, with views east over the Gulf of Thailand and north along the undeveloped coastline, gives it a genuinely peaceful atmosphere. The climb from the parking area to the main hall takes about 15 minutes. Free admission; respectful dress required.
