Det Hvide Vandtårn stands on Prins Georgs Bastion, built into the green ring of Fredericia's ramparts just northeast of Prinsens Port. The white cylindrical tower dates from the early 20th century, when it supplied water to the fortified town; today its real value is the climb to the viewing platform.
It is a small stop rather than a reason to come to Fredericia by itself, but it fits neatly into a walk around the Volden. From the top you get one of the best quick views over the old grid of streets, the bastions, and the Little Belt beyond, which helps make sense of why Fredericia was laid out as a military town.
