Trinity Church (Trinitatis Kirke) is Fredericia's main Lutheran parish church, a brick building begun in 1690 and finished in 1707. It is more interesting than the modest exterior suggests: the wooden box pews, the ornate Baroque pulpit and the carved altarpiece are all original.
The graveyard outside is the burial place of many Danish soldiers killed in the 1849 battle, with simple stone markers grouped by regiment. The church is open mornings on most weekdays and during the longer summer hours, and entry is free.
