Madsby Park (Madsbyparken) is a free family park on the southern edge of town, a short bus or bike ride from the centre. It includes a small petting zoo, a miniature railway, playgrounds, a paddling lake and a couple of cafes — the kind of low-key Danish municipal park that the country does so well.
There is no entrance fee and not much that is unique here, but if you are travelling with children and need an easy afternoon between sights, this is the obvious option. Open in daylight hours year-round; the rides operate mainly in summer.
