Naturmuseet (Natural History Museum)

Naturmuseet Randers (The Natural History Museum) is a regional natural history institution with collections of local geology, Danish wildlife, and international specimens. The museum appeals particularly to families and those interested in the natural history of Jutland — the geological displays on the formations of the Danish landscape, including the effects of the last ice age on the region's terrain, are among the more informative in eastern Jutland.

The building is historic and the setting on the Gudenå riverfront is pleasant. The museum is modest in scale and a visit can comfortably be combined with the nearby Randers Kunstmuseum and a walk along the river. It is an easy half-hour stop if you are exploring the cultural quarter, or a more thorough two-hour visit if natural history is a particular interest.
