Veszprém's Old Town Square has a compact run of Art Nouveau and early-20th-century civic buildings mixed into the older city fabric. Look for the former banking house, the Pósa House, the town hall, and the row of decorated residential and office buildings around the square.
It is not a single monument so much as a good reason to slow down. The details work best on foot, especially before climbing toward the castle district.
