Petofi Theatre

Petofi Theatre is one of Veszprem's strongest Art Nouveau landmarks. Stephen Medgyaszay designed the building, completed in 1908, and it was the first reinforced-concrete theatre in Hungary.

The theatre is still a working performance venue, but even if you do not catch a show it is worth passing for the exterior. Its listed facade gives the modern town below the castle a good dose of early 20th-century style.
